Welsh Open Snooker Betting Tips
The Welsh Open arrives in Cardiff on February 10 and will welcome a host of stars to battle it out for the £366,000 prize money.
Last year saw Neil Robertson lift the trophy and he’s among the favorites again alongside a host of others looking to start the year well.
Below you’ll find all the latest Welsh Open outright odds from the top bookies across the country.
As you’d probably expect, the usual suspects are among the favorites to lift the Welsh Open title on February 16.
2019 World Champion is favourite, with William Hill pricing him at 7/2.
He’s yet to win the tournament, finishing runner-up in 2017 and will be keen to start what could be a big 2020 for him well.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is equal favorite with bet365 pricing him 7/2. The Rocket has three titles to his name and is naturally always one to watch.
Neil Robertson can be bet on at 9/2, while John Higgins, who won the tournament in 2018, and Mark Selby are both priced at 12/1 with William Hill.
There’s always the opportunity for an outside shot to do well at the Welsh Open and the winning names, unlike the World Championship, have been varied across the last decade.
Stuart Bingham is a 22/1 shot with William Hill and does have previous experience of winning the title. He was knocked out by John Higgins in the Grand Prix recently, so he won’t necessarily be fancied but could bring a surprise.
Mark Williams is also always heavily bet on in his home tournament. He’s a 25/1 shot with the bookmaker and is battling at the moment. He beat Barry Hawkins in the Grand Prix recently, despite enduring gout, which could either fire him up to go well in the Welsh Open or send him home early.
Other outsiders in contention include the likes of Ding Junhui (25/1), Shaun Murphy (16/1) and Kyren Wilson (20/1).
