Six Nations 2020 Round 5 Betting Tips

Coronavirus has played havoc with the Six Nations as Ireland’s game with Italy has been postponed.

That means only two fixtures, with England meeting Wales in a real crunch game and Scotland taking on the team of the tournament so far, France.

Below you’ll find our key bets for the weekend in what promises to be two intriguing fixtures.

England to dominate at Twickenham

Wales has been underwhelming so far in the Six Nations and defeat to both Ireland and France has left them lagging behind.

England is on the march through and we fancy the likes of Johnny May and Owen Farrell to really take the game away from them.

The 11-15 winning margin for the home side would be our bet at 9/2 with William Hill, particularly as there’s very little value in the Match Result market.

Dan Biggar is an injury worry for Wales, although he’s expected to be fit. If he’s not, that winning margin could be even higher. Josh Adams will be one to watch for England but we expect the home side to be too strong.

France to continue their good run

The French have yet to lose with Romain Ntamack proving a real superstar with 39 points.

At Murrayfield, on Sunday we can see him racking up a few more, alongside Charles Ollivon who will be a try-scorer to watch.

The French haven’t really thrashed anyone as yet, and we don’t see that happening here either. Scotland will hold their own, and an upset might be worth a punt priced at 2/1 with Paddy Power.

However, France is edging closer to the title and we’d take a bet on a 1-12 points margin win at 13/8 in this one. Throw this one away though and the Six Nations could end up firmly in England’s favor. It’s a big weekend that could leave the tournament either hanging in the balance or practically sewn up.
