England to get back on track in the Calcutta Cup

England will want to forget about the shock result which saw France beat them in their Six Nations opener last week.

February 8 sees them travel to Murrayfield in another game which is being considered an easy win, but Scotland will be buoyed and believe they can make it three games in a row without being beaten by their bitter rivals.

England to make amends for France defeat

It’ll be a fantastic atmosphere in Edinburgh this weekend with the Scots looking to inflict a second straight loss for tournament favorites England.

They are underdogs, however, with William Hill pricing them at 3/1.

England can be backed at 3/10 with the bookmaker, while the draw, which was the outcome last year, is available at 20/1.

England will have the grit between their teeth though after the Stade de France debacle and with Scotland also suffering against the Irish, we can see Eddie Jones’ men having enough to see the Scots off this time around.

May to take the Scots to the Slaughter

Jonny May is England’s biggest hope when it comes to try-scoring and we can see him being the one to watch at the weekend.

He was impressive last weekend and he’ll be the difference once more, making the 16-20 point winning margin look at good punt for England at 13/2 with William Hill.

That’s a big win, but they’ll be looking to prove a point.

Coral is offering a winning margin of 11-20 which could be more appealing for punters at 12/5, while 13+ can also be backed at the same price.

Another shock would likely see the Scots only just snatch it, with 6/1 on a 1-5 point win or 13/5 on a 1-10 point wins probably the option to back for those punters.

England to lead from the front

Eddie Jones will want to avoid being embarrassed once again and we expect the English side to get the first try and try to finish the home side off early.

An England/England wager in the HT/FT market could be a sensible one for the accumulator at 4/6 with Coral, with Will Hill pricing the first try in England’s favor on 8/15.

Another loss would be catastrophic and see both France and Ireland or Wales begin to run away from them. It’d be a long way back from there.
