Bolton v Tranmere Betting Tips
A week’s a long time in football and Tranmere will be looking to put their 6-0 thumping by Manchester United behind them on Saturday as they travel to Bolton.
The home side is just about favorites at 6/4 with Paddy Power, but both are without a league win in some time and Tranmere’s 13/8 odds with the same bookie could also be worth a punt, particularly with their recent signing of James Vaughan, who has netted 11 times for Bradford this season.
Key Battle: Vaughan v Nsiala
Goal threat will be key in this game and the arrival of Vaughan could just about making the difference.
The striker is 13/8 to score anytime with William Hill and it’ll need Aristote Nsiala and Liam Edwards to be on form to keep him at bay.
Connor Jennings will also offer threat and is 12/5 with Ladbrokes to score anytime, while Daryl Murphy poses the Wirral side the biggest problem. He’s priced at 29/20 anytime scorer, all of which are with William Hill.
Our Tip: Tranmere to catch up relegation rivals
Tranmere have a few games in hand on those above them and will want to start catching up as soon as possible.
They should have enough in attack to break through the Bolton back four and at 13/8 we’d take those Paddy Power odds.
A Tranmere win and BTTS at 4/1 with the same bookie is also an appealing one and certainly our bet of the game.
