Australian Open 2020 Betting Odds Day 12
- Alexander Zverev to beat Dominic Thiem at 8/5 with Coral
- Garbine Muguruza to beat Sofia Kenin 2-0 at 6/5 with Paddy Power
Women’s Singles Final & a Meeting With Djokovic on the Line
For UK viewers, Friday at the Australian Open will welcome a men’s Semi a Final at the beginning of the day and the Women’s Singles Final just before the clock strikes midnight.
It’s going to be an exciting day, with a real thriller in the Final and the chance for a new Men’s Single finalist to take on the great Djokovic.
Dominic Thiem v Alexander Zverev Betting Odds
It’s been quite the tournament for these two and Djokovic awaits in what could be a brilliant final.
Thiem is favorite with Coral at 10/21 after beating Rafael Nadal in the quarters and he’s been impressive all tournament.
As has Zverev though and at 8/5 the 22-year-old looks good value. Young players have been the talk of the Open and his win over Wawrinka proved he’s ready to go all the way.
We’d back 3-1 in Zverev’s favor at 11/2 with the bookie, particularly after Thiem went through an exhausting few hours with Nadal just a couple of days ago.
Sofia Kenin v Garbine Muguruza Betting Odds
Few would have predicted a Kenin vs Muguruza final but they’ve continued to surprise and are well worth their place.
The Spaniard is favorite at 1/2 with Paddy Power but it will be close with Kenin having impressed against some major names so far. She’s the youngest Grand Slam finalist in over a decade and at 6/4 is worth a punt.
It’s been a monumental effort, but with age experiences and with two Grand Slams already in the bag we think Muguruza may just manage the situation better and we’d back a straight-sets win at 6/5.
