Wales need a win in a big Six Nations match-up
Wales may be odds-on but the French have shown themselves as dark horses this tournament and many punters won’t be put off by their 7/4 odds with Paddy Power.
It’s a game Warren Gatland’s men need to win following defeat to Ireland and we expect them to just manage it in a tight game at the Millennium Stadium.
Tip 1: Wales to edge it at 9/2 with William Hill.
There won’t be many points between the two in this one and we think a home crowd will be the difference and
edge the Welsh to a 6-10 point win at 9/2 with Will Hill.
They seem up for it with prop Wyn Jones claiming he expects the French to revert to cheating in the scrum, but it’ll be up to the likes of Josh Adams to do the talking with his attacking threat.
Tip 2: Adams or Ntamack to prove the difference?
Josh Adams will be key in unlocking the French alongside Dan Biggar, both of whole will be a good punt to be top point scorer in the game.
The French will be reliant upon Romain Ntamack who has been fantastic so far this campaign and could be the difference if you fancy the side to take revenge on their World Cup Quarter Final knockout.
The 1-5 point France win can be backed at 6/1 and could be worthwhile given Wales’ display against the Irish.
Tip 3: Wales to continue run against the French
Wales have won the last three against France, including when it really mattered in Japan last year.
We expect them to come out trumps again with Adams and Biggar fit for the game.
It’ll be a close start and for those bold in their betting an even first half and Wales win in the second could be a decent HT/FT bet at 17/1 with Paddy Power.
The 6-10 point win margin would be our top tip at 9/2.
