Wales have enjoyed quite the purple patch in recent years, qualifying for this summer’s European Championships and securing promotion into the Nations League’s top tier.
And topping their Nations League group has virtually guaranteed Wales a place in the World Cup qualifying play-offs, for reasons we don’t have time to go into right now!
They will want to qualify the old-fashioned way though, and their match against the Czech Republic will go a long way to deciding both teams’ Group E fates.

Our Top Odds Pick – Czech Republic to Win – 6/4 at 888sport
Wales lost to Belgium in their only group game so far, but that defeat was only their second in 16 games.
And they followed it up with a morale-boosting 1-0 win over Mexico.
However, the Czech Republic are in even better recent form, surprisingly topping Group E after hammering Estonia 6-2 and drawing 1-1 with the Belgians.
They are unbeaten in four games, winning three of them, and also have the form player in Group E – more on that below!
Wales’ cause has not been helped by the antics of three squad members who have been sent home for a breach of protocol.
And that, added to their opponents’ fine form, has convinced us that a bet on the visitors could well be a profitable one!
Our Long Shot – Tomas Soucek to Score – 4/1 at Unibet
Disagreeing with a price the bookies have set is not usually a great way to make money – take it from us!
However, we can’t help but think our old friends have under-estimated Tomas Soucek’s chances of netting against the Welsh.
Soucek is enjoying a stellar season for club and country, bagging a hat-trick against Estonia just one game after scoring for West Ham against Arsenal.
He has 13 goals so far this campaign, and we’re not quite sure why he’s as big as 4/1 to score here, especially with his side in such good form.
