The Masters – 90/1 Outside Chance Looks Lively At Augusta

Regular readers will know that we love a long shot at Odds Manager Towers, and we’ve nabbed some big-priced winners in the last year.

And with most bookmakers offering up to 10 places for their each-way bets, the Masters is the perfect opportunity to nab some major profit from small stakes.

And what’s not to like about that?

So for the first of our Masters preview pieces in the run-up to the big day on Thursday, we’re looking at the best outsiders taking to the Augusta course.

Our Top Odds Pick – Matt Kuchar E/W – 90/1 at Betfair (1/5 of the odds, first 10)

90/1 Bet

Matt Kuchar has enjoyed a real upturn in form in recent weeks, finishing third at the WGC Matchplay and following it up with T12 at last week’s Texas Open.

And “Kooch” will be feeling good as he rocks up to the Masters once again.

Kuchar has a pretty respectable record at Augusta too, finishing T12 in 2019 and T4 in 2017.

He also totted up a further three top eight finishes between 2012 and 2014.

We’re a sucker for that killer combination of course success, recent form and a tasty price, so we reckon Kuchar is worthy of a punt this week.

Our Extra Pick – Corey Connors E/W – 80/1 at bet365 (1/5 of the odds, first 8)

80/1 Bet

After shooting an opening round 74 last year, few gave Corey Connors any chance of making any waves at Augusta.

However, he bounced back with a seven under second round, eventually finishing T10, securing his best-ever Masters finish and punching his ticket for 2021 in one fell swoop.

And in the five months since the Masters, Conners has added a further three top ten berths, the best of which was his third place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month.

And Conners has also secured another three top 20 finishes in that time, including T14 at the Texas Open last time out.

We reckon Conner’s a shoo-in for top Canadian, but at 80/1 with eight places on offer, he should also give punters a real run for their money in the main market.
