This weekend saw some serious market movers for the Queen Mother Champion Chase betting at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival, with big performances from both sides of the Irish Sea.
We take a closer look at the weekend’s goings-on and check out the latest best prices for one of the biggest races of the upcoming Cheltenham Festival.
Saturday saw Politologue blow his rivals away in the Tingle Creek at Sandown with a jumping masterclass under Harry Skelton.
Winner of the Champion Chase at the Festival this year, he’s now a best-priced 9/1 with bet365 to make it back-to-back victories in the race, at the 2021 Cheltenham Festival.
His next stop will be the Clarence House Chase at Ascot in the New Year before heading to Cheltenham to defend his chasing crown.
Chacun Pour Soi
Having missed the Cheltenham Festival this year, Chacun Pour Soi put in a solid effort on Sunday to win the Hilly Way Chase at Cork, at skinny odds of 1/5.
He’s now 7/2 favourite with Betfair for the Champion Chase in what could be a tasty head-to-head against Politologue, in a classic UK v Ireland match up.
Chuck into the mix the potential of Altior also lining up in the race, and the Champion Chase is shaping up as a race not to be missed come March.
