Just when we thought the weekend couldn’t get better – not only do we get an extra hour’s kip on Sunday, we get the return of racing at Cheltenham.
Saturday is the feature day of their Showcase Meeting and, despite empty stands, the clashes on the track will be as frenetic and ferocious as usual.
We’ve studied the form and selected our three top Odds Picks for Saturday, including one at a massive 25/1!
Our Top Odds Pick – Allmankind (14:05) to Win – 7/4 at 888sport
He won three times last season before going down on his sword in the Triumph Hurdle after trying to burn them all off from the front but eventually finishing 4th.
He still looks full of potential and being a Grade 1 winner last season, he should be a class above this field.
Our Extra Odds Pick – Polish (16:25) to Win – 5/1 at Unibet
He ran a decent race last time out and the trainer has said he’s the best chance of a winner for the stable over Friday and Saturday.
He has race fitness on his side and looks a cracking price in a wide-open looking race.
Our Long Shot Odds Pick – Ecossais (17:00) Each-Way – 25/1 at 888sport
Has shown very little of late but comes in here on the back of a wind-operation and sporting the first-time tongue-tie which should both help his breathing.
He’s dropped plenty in the weights and with the stable in form recently, a chance is taken on him running a big race – fingers crossed!
