Seagulls To The Slaughter – Our Top Manchester City v Brighton Odds Picks

0

Look away, Brighton fans.

The Seagulls have suffered seven losses from seven against Manchester City since taking their seat at the top table in 2017.

Some of these haven’t been pretty, either.

In fact, we make it a 21-2 aggregate win for Guardiola’s side over this stretch, but who’s counting?! (apart from us…)

Oh, and another thing. After strolling past Birmingham City in the FA Cup at the weekend, City were able to rest several first-team players – this compared to Brighton’s 120 minutes, plus penalties, on a freezing Sunday night in Newport.

Oh, last one. Brighton’s star man Yves Bissouma is suspended for Wednesday’s match.

Yikes!

Check out our top Odds Picks for Wednesday’s match including a tempting 21/2 Long Shot.

Our Top Odds Pick – Manchester City -3 goals – 3/1 at bet365

Without Brighton’s reliable midfielder Yves Bissouma marshaling the centre of the pitch, City will expect to move through the lines with relative ease on Wednesday.

Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling got well-deserved rests at the weekend, and with Kevin De Bruyne only playing 45 minutes, there will be plenty of energy in the City midfield.

Pep’s side have scored 16 in their last six home matches and considering Brighton’s recent leaky defence, this one could get ugly.

The handicap markets are too good to ignore on Wednesday.

Our Long Shot – Joao Cancelo to score – 21/2 at 888sport

Joao Cancelo to score
21/2Bet

Alongside Kevin De Bruyne, Joao Cancelo has been Manchester City’s stand-out player this season.

He’s nailed down his starting place at right-back (sometimes even left-back) and is a constant threat down the flanks, interchanging the play fluidly with City midfielders.

Although we hate the phrase “due a goal”, the 26-year-old is certainly verging on it, and will have the confidence to bomb forward against Graham Potter’s defence.
