The Monday morning return to work is made a bit more bearable by knowing there’s a couple of Premier League games to look forward to in the evening.
And if you fancy a punt, we’ve got a couple of Odds Picks for you.
Our Odds Pick for Burnley v Spurs – Gareth Bale to Score & Spurs to Win – 15/8 at Paddy Power
The prospect of playing on a wet Monday night in Burnley was presumably one of the major factors in Gareth Bale’s decision to return to Spurs.
After a 20-minute substitute appearance against West Ham, and 62 minutes against LASK in midweek, Bale is set to play a big part at Turf Moor.
He spurned a glorious chance to seal the game against West Ham, before setting up a goal on Thursday night.
Burnley have lost three out of four games this season, conceding eight goals in the process, so you have to think that both he, and Spurs can cash in.
Our Odds Pick for Brighton v West Brom – Both Teams to Score in the Second Half – 19/10 at Ladbrokes
Say what you like about Brighton’s start to the season, but it hasn’t been boring, after two red cards in five games, an late, late defeat at Old Trafford and a dramatic injury-time equaliser at Crystal Palace, last time out.
The Seagulls lie 16th in the Premier League table, after just one win in five, while West Brom have fared even worse, sitting in 17th after two draws from their first five matches.
The Late Show?
Both teams have netted in the second half in three of Brighton’s matches this season, while they themselves are becoming masters of the injury-time strike, having scored three of them.
West Brom have not scored in two games, but after netting three against Chelsea and two against Everton, they are certainly capable of finding the net against a team that has conceded an average of over two goals a game.
