The latest instalment of Monday Night Football sees the Chicago Bears travel to LA to face the Rams.
And the Bears will be looking to bring some storm clouds to sunny California, and hand the Rams their first loss at SoFi Stadium.
Our Top Odds Pick – Under 44.5 Points – 19/20 at 888sport
Quarterbacks Jared Goff and Nick Foles better eat their Shredded Wheat on Monday morning, because they will both be facing formidable defences.
Chicago has 15 sacks from five games, while the Rams have 20, and in Aaron Donald, they have the league’s best pass rusher, who has more sacks on his own than some teams!
Of the 12 games these sides have played this season, only four of them have had a combined total of more than 40 points, so we’re happy with a cheeky punt on the under.
Our Extra Pick – Darrell Henderson to Score a TD – 6/4 at Betfair
It will not have gone unnoticed by Rams Head Coach Sean McVey, that Chicago did not allow an in-form Teddy Bridgewater to throw a touchdown pass last week, restricting him to just 216 passing yards.
Pass defence is one of the Bears’ major strengths, so the Rams may well look to the run game, and luckily they have a running back in form, as Darrell Henderson powered his way to 88 yards from 14 carries against the 49ers last week.
He also leads all running backs in one particularly interesting statistic, as he has gained a first down or scored a touchdown on 35% of his carries this year.
Our Long Shot – Gerald Everett to Score a TD – 15/4 at Unibet
Tight End Gerald Everett has been targeted four times in each of the Rams last two games, gaining 117 yards in the process.
And with Los Angeles wide receivers set for a tough day against the Chicago secondary, quarterback Jared Goff should continue looking for him.
Everett has scored at least two touchdowns in each of his last three campaigns, and with none so far as the season reaches the halfway stage, you have to think he’s due one.
