Manchester City v Leeds – City Rotation Opens Door For 3/1 Goal-Fest

Manchester City are spinning plates impressively at the moment.

Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues are still alive and kicking in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League, looking to scoop a historic quadruple after a wobbly start to the campaign.

Fighting on four fronts will inevitably lead to rotation, and whilst our guys at Odds Manager HQ don’t own the key to the intriguing brain of Pep, we assume there will be a few changes to the City line-up this weekend.

Their Saturday afternoon tie with Leeds acts as the Billy Bear ham in a Dortmund sandwich, with next Wednesday’s reverse tie with the German side significantly more important.

Marcelo Bielsa will understand this, and will be setting his Leeds team up to ruffle some feathers inside the Etihad.

Will the Argentine thinker out-think the tinkerer?

Our Top Odds Pick – Over 4.5 goals – 3/1 at BetVictor

Over 4.5 goals

It’s a little trite to back the goals to flow whenever Leeds play, but with chopping and changing expected in the City defence we reckon the visitors will be offered plenty of chances.

Leeds have very little to play for in the remainder of the Premier League so will be prepared to take risks in Manchester.

They’ve bagged 26 goals on the road this season – five more than at Elland Road – and with City only keeping one clean sheet in their last six home matches we are tipping over 4.5 goals with confidence.

City are always electric going forward, so we are hoping for a slug-fest on Saturday between two heavyweight attacks.

Our Long Shot – Gabriel Jesus to score first – 9/2 at 888sport

Gabriel Jesus to score first

City’s saviour Gabriel Jesus should be backing in the running after playing just 30 mins from the bench in midweek.

The Brazilian striker has scored five in his last five starts and will be eager to impress ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League second leg.

The 24-year-old is warming into this season after a slow start and a 9/2 shot on him opening the scoring provides solid value.
