- Scotland to win by 13+ points at 6/5 with Paddy Power
- Scotland/Scotland Double Result at 8/11 with William Hill
Scotland to earn their first win of the Six Nations
Scotland will be looking to forget the past two matchdays and get some winning points on the board as they take on Italy.
There’s little value to be had on them, with William Hill pricing them at 1/3 but there really is only one result in Rome on Saturday.
Tip 1: Scotland’s High Margins
We expect the Scots to come out strongly and take the first try, building from there.
Paddy Power have them at 6/5 to win by 13+ points, with the likes of Adam Hastings and Sean Maitland among the key men.
Hastings has been impressive for the Scots so far this campaign and has kept his nation close to their opposition in the last two games.
Tip 2: A 21-25 point win for Townsend at 10/1?
Italy have been beaten significantly in both fixtures of their Six Nations campaign and we expect Scotland to pick up some points.
The Scots have won the last seven between the two, although last time in Rome it was a close affair.
An Italy shock would be exactly that at 13/5 but we can’t see it this time though and feel at 10/1 a 21-25 point win could be worth a punt with William Hill. For the more conservative bettors, 16-20 may also be worthwhile at 7/1.
Tip 3: Hogg to inspire his men
Stuart Hogg was in good form for his club side at the weekend, and the Scotland captain will be worth a bet as an anytime tryscorer.
There will be a number of players looking to get in on the action, and we’d look to the likes of Hogg and Maitland to be among them.
A straight-forward victory looks likely, and we’d take a 16-20 point win off William Hill at 7/1.
