At Odds Manager, we don’t spend too much time feeling sorry for millionaire football managers, however, we can’t help but feel slightly bad for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the only manager in the Premier League where the pressure on him actually increases, even after a win.
It’s no wonder he spends so much time during matches, looking like he’s just been told his kids have accidentally washed his car with drain cleaner.
Once again though, ahead of a crunch clash with Istanbul Basaksehir, it’s Solskjaer’s job which is at risk of being flushed down the toilet!

Our Top Odds Pick – Bruno Fernandes to Score and Man United to Win – 7/4 at Paddy Power
It’s fair to say that Man United’s defeat in the reverse fixture was somewhat of an anomaly, because it was only their second defeat in eight games and the first time they had conceded more than one goal in the same period.
And we’re expecting them to put in a much better performance here, spearheaded once again by their Portuguese talisman Bruno Fernandes.
Interestingly, Fernandes has scored most of his goals in clusters this season, netting in consecutive games on two occasions already, and after his winning goal against West Brom, we’re backing him to go on a scoring run once again.
Our Extra Pick – Manchester United (-1) – 8/11 at Betfair
Despite all his troubles, one thing that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown this season is that when he needs a result, he tends to get it.
When United lost to Crystal Palace on the opening day, they bounced back with a victory over Brighton, a heavy defeat at Spurs was followed by wins over Newcastle and PSG, while they answered the critics following losses to Arsenal and tonight’s opponents Basaksehir, with victory at Everton.
And after an uninspiring 1-0 win over West Brom, where they needed a penalty to see off the Baggies, we reckon United are going to remind everyone once again that they can be a force to be reckoned with this season.
Our Long Shot – Edinson Cavani to be the Last Goalscorer – 16/5 at Unibet
Edinson Cavani has not yet started a game for Manchester United, and while that trend looks set to continue here, we reckon he’ll see some decent action towards the end of the game, which opens up the last goalscorer market nicely.
We can’t imagine Cavani is too pleased about warming the bench every game, so he will want to grab every opportunity to impress, and could find it against a Besakahir side who should be on the ropes by the time he comes on.
Cavani netted the final goal in United’s win at Goodison Park a few games back, and we reckon it will be a similar story here.
