- England to win by 1-10 points at 17/10 with Paddy Power
- England -7 handicap at 10/11 with William Hill.
Home advantage key at Twickenham
England bounced back with a win over the Scots a few weeks ago and will be keen to continue that run and get back towards the top of the table with a win over the Irish.
They’re 4/11 favourites to do so with William Hill, despite the away side enjoying an unbeaten start. Ireland are priced at 23/10 with Paddy Power, which may not be a bad punt given the start to the Six Nations 2020
Tip 1: England to grind out a result
England won both encounters between the nations in 2019, but it’s been evenly fought at 2-2 since 2017.
Eddie Jones’ men are still favourites to win the title and we’d expect Jonny May and Owen Farrell to get the home side over the line. The winning margin will be close, with 1-10 points a good punt with Paddy Power at 17/10.
Tip 2: Farrell or Sexton to prove the difference?
Ireland’s Sexton has proved vital for his side so far and is the top point scorer in the series so far.
He’ll be a good punt to be Ireland’s top point scorer once again and will be one to watch for the England side.
Jones will be confident in nullifying his presence, just as the England side did last year which is why we’d look towards the home win.
Farrell has picked up 15 points so far, with May more of a threat in terms of tries in comparison to Andrew Conway and Tadhg Furlong.
Tip 3: May’s pace to take it away from Ireland
The speed in which England attack will prove the vital factor at Twickenham and
we expect May to be the main influence in that.
As a conservative punt we’d improve our odds with the handicap market and England (-7) at 10/11 with William Hill. It’s the one to back for the weekend acca, and all-in-all it’s difficult to look past an England victory.
