Crystal Palace v Man United – Red Devils To Storm Palace Gates

An elderly leader having problems at the Palace – no it’s not the Queen but Roy Hodgson!

The Palace boss spoke this week about his regret at this game being moved from its original slot, due to United’s participation in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Which doesn’t bode well, as his inconsistent side prepare for one of their toughest tests of the season.

Roy Hodgson’s frustration probably stemmed from the fact that this game has probably come too soon for Wilfried Zaha to return.

And boy, have the Eagles missed their talisman, scoring just twice in their last four matches and failing to even register a shot on target, last time out against Fulham.

United have no such issues, netting a league-leading 53 goals this season, most of which have come against teams in the bottom half of the table.

And only three sides have kept more clean sheets this campaign.

Which all spells nothing but trouble for Palace at Selhurst Park.

If their task wasn’t difficult enough, we reckon that Palace will also be facing a United backlash at Selhurst Park.

The men from Old Trafford were denied what looked like a stonewall penalty last weekend, and even the usually ice-cool Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked furious after the game.

And even more ominously for Palace, United have won six of their last seven trips to Selhurst Park.

The last time Ole’s men drew 0-0 in the league, they followed it up with a 9-0 walloping of Southampton.

And while we’re not expecting that level of craziness, we reckon a small punt on a comfortable United win could be a profitable play here.
