Coventry City v Sunderland Betting Tips
Games couldn’t get any bigger in League One as Sunderland travel to Coventry in a real cracker in the race for automatic promotion.
Both sides drew midweek but we fancy Sunderland to come in strong and would take a punt on the Black Cats and BTTS at 5/1 with William Hill.
Key Battle: Liam Kelly v Max Power
It’s going to take a real battle to see either team over the line, with Liam Kelly and Max Power the key figures in the heart of midfield.
Power rescued a point for Sunderland in the 97th minute against Fleetwood and he’ll be keen to pick them up all three this time out.
Freeing up Chris Maguire is a must who is 2/1 to score anytime. A Sunderland win and Maguire to get on the scoresheet would be our punt at 19/5.
For Coventry, Matt Godden is in good form though and is priced at 8/5 anytime scorer with William Hill, which is certainly worth backing.
Our Tip: Sunderland to just edge it
Phil Parkinson’s men are just three points behind Coventry who sit second and it will be a real edgy encounter.
Tuesday’s draw with the leaders could have taken it out of the home side, which is why we’d just give it the away side with a win and BTTS at 5/1.
It’s a game that could go either way though. Coventry are 9/2 with BTTS and many punters will perhaps be tempted by the score draw at 16/5.
