Battle of the Bridge – Odds Manager’s Weekend Football Preview

After a tasty week of European action, we’ve got a bumper weekend of domestic football to get fired into.

There’s a full schedule of Premier League games between Friday and Monday, the Scottish League Cup, and all the top European leagues.

It’s going to be hotter than a Black Friday deal… hopefully!

Premier League

Liverpool will be aiming to get back to winning ways against Brighton in the Saturday lunchtime kickoff – they’re currently 4/7 with Paddy Power, and Brighton are 9/2 at Betfair to cause a shock.

Down at the bottom, Sheffield United and West Brom go head-to-head in a real six-pointer on Saturday night, as they both hunt out their first win of the season.

With the two sides struggling, the draw could be the best play and is available at 9/4 with bet365.

All eyes will be on Stamford Bridge on Sunday, as the form teams in the league do battle when Chelsea take on Spurs.

Frank Lampard’s side are a best-priced 11/10 at 888sport but Jose and Spurs are bound to attract some support at 5/2 with Unibet.

If you fancy the points to be shared, the draw is a top price of 5/2 at 888sport.

Scottish League Cup

This weekend sees the big guns enter the Scottish League Cup bringing us three all-premiership ties including Celtic v Ross County on Sunday.

With Celtic in shocking form, those fancying the Highland side to cause a huge shock could be rewarded with odds of 16/1 at Betfred.

Premier League leaders Rangers travel to face Falkirk on Sunday and are 1/12 at bet365, for what we expect to be a one-sided affair.

The top two in the Bundesliga will no doubt find their way into plenty of Accas this weekend, with Bayern 2/7 at Unibet to beat Stuttgart and Dortmund 1/5 at bet365 to see off FC Koln.

In La Liga, first plays third on Sunday when Real Sociedad take on Villarreal with Sociedad 5/4 at Betfair.

Real Madrid and Barcelona should have an easy time of it against Alaves and Osasuna with Madrid a best price of 1/3 while Barca are 1/4.

Another entertaining weekend awaits in Serie A with Saturday’s top match being Sassuolo welcoming Inter – the visitors are 8/11 with Paddy Power to bag three points.

Sunday night sees Napoli taking on Roma in what will be another emotionally charged evening for the hosts following the death of Maradona.

Napoli are 23/20 at 888sport to seal the win while Roma are 9/4 at Betfair to extend their current unbeaten run.
