ATP Dubai Tennis Championship Betting Tips
After a fabulous WTA event, the men roll into Dubai for the ATP event with plenty of stars ready to battle for $2million in prize money.
Defending champion Roger Federer is out of the tournament, leaving the door open for Novak Djokovic or a surprise contender. We explore the big favorites and those with an outside chance…
nament involving the Serbian, Novak Djokovic is a heavy favorite, priced at 4/6 with Paddy Power.
It’s difficult to bet against him after another Australian Open win and with no Nadal or Federer, his chances are made even more likely.
According to the bookies, Stefanos Tsitsipas, last year’s runner up, poses the biggest threat at 6/1. The Greek star is ranked number six in the world and could be worth a punt.
Marin Cilic is always one to watch and he’s at 14/1, while Andrew Rublev is also among the contenders following a decent Australian Open on 12/1.
There are few upsets in the Dubai Tennis Championships, although Roberto Bautista Agust did lift the trophy in 2018.
He’s priced at 20/1 with Paddy Power this time out, while a much more likely upset will come from Gael Monfils at 9/1.
Monfils is actually among the favourites but it would be rather surprising if the 33-year-old managed to get behind some of the higher-ranked stars.
Karen Khachanov is priced at 14/1 and would be our outside bet, particularly with a free bet following some impressive form in reaching Round Three of the Australian Open.
Among the other players who have an outside shot include Hubert Hurkacz (20/1), Fabio Fognini (25/1) and Richard Gasquet (33/1).
Of course, for most, they won’t look past Novak, who has won the competition four times and looks almost certain to make that five.
