Arkle Sparkle – The Road to the Cheltenham Festival 2021

A mundane Monday was lit up by Shishkin shining on his chasing debut at Kempton, cementing his place at the top of the betting for the Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival 2021.

Trained by Nicky Henderson, Shishkin won the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at this year’s Festival and was sent off the 1/6 favourite for the Beginner’s Chase at Kempton.

He blew away the field with a jumping masterclass, with many comparing him to the great Sprinter Sacre.

He’s now a hot favourite for the Arkle Chase in March with a top price of 7/4 at bet365*, and is already seen by many as a Festival ‘Banker’.
