We must confess, we had no idea that STSbet even existed, but when we visited for the first time and saw Peter Schmeichel’s face smiling back at us, it was oddly reassuring.
I mean, if Peter’s happy to be a part of the site then they must be decent, right?
Let’s find out!
STSbet Pros & Cons
- Good looking and easy to use site.
- Option of creating a favourites list of events is a nice touch.
- Best range of Esports markets we’ve seen.
- Good selection of betting tips on site.
- Needlessly complicated bonus rules.
- No UK App & hard to navigate the site on your phone.
- No Odds Boosts.
- No live streaming options at the time of writing.
STS Gaming Group is a pretty big deal in Poland, with a turnover of 750 million Euros, 440 betting shops and 1500 employees, and most Polish football fans will also have heard of them, thanks to a number of sponsorship deals.
Their online site has been going since 2012 and the App since 2016, however British punters have only been able to use both, since 2019.
STSbet Welcome Offer
Sign up for a new STSbet betting account and place an accumulator of at least £10, with at least two selections and minimum odds of 1/2 per selection, to receive bonus funds totalling half your stake.
How to Claim the Welcome Offer at STSbet
- Click CLAIM at the top of the review and head to the STSbet website.
- Create a new account and place an accumulator of at least £10, with at least two selections and minimum odds of 1/2 per selection.
- When that bet is settled, whatever the result, you will receive bonus funds totalling half your original stake.
- Before you can withdraw any winnings from gambling your bonus funds, you have to gamble six times the original amount, all within 7 days.
As always, don’t forget to check those T’s and C’s!
We hate starting with a negative, but we have to admit that the bonus rules left a nasty taste in our mouth right from the beginning.
On any of the other sites we’ve been on, you are able to withdraw any profit you make from gambling with bonus funds straight away, but on STSbet you have to bet six times the amount before you can withdraw.
So, let’s say you have a £10 bonus, you have to gamble £60 before you can withdraw anything, which is needlessly complicated, and stacks the odds against the player, because you have to gamble the cash twice, probably at least three times, before you can withdraw it, which increases your chances of losing.
Signing Up to STSbet
Signing up to STSbet is really straightforward, you just need to put in your email, pick a password and then fill in your name and address.
You can then deposit by debit card, Paypal, Trustly, Neteller & Skrill.
But don’t forget you can’t make any deposits by credit card, even through PayPal.
The STSbet User Experience
They may be new to the UK market, but it’s clear from the STSbet site that they are not new to the betting business.
It looks great, with a nice blue-based colour scheme and a bold, futuristic font, and it’s also easy to navigate, with all the different sections such as Sports, In Play, Casino and Virtuals easily accessible at the top of the page, and a “Top Leagues” section on the left-hand side, with the big events of the day.
We also love the fact there’s a search bar and an option to set favourite sports and events.
One big negative though is the lack of an App at the time of writing, especially since the desktop site is difficult to navigate on your phone.
Placing a Bet
When you’ve found the bet you want to place, just click on your selection and the bet will pop up on-screen in a betting slip.
Then you just need to add any more bets, enter your stake and place the bet!
Checking your open and settled bets, making a withdrawal and looking at your banking history is also easily accessed by clicking on the head silhouette at the top right of the screen.
When you make a withdrawal, you should also have the money in the same account you deposited from within two days, but we actually found that our withdrawal back to PayPal was all done and dusted in a day – result!
STSbet Sports & Markets
As you would expect from a well-established company, the range of sports you can bet on and the pre-game and in-play markets at STSbet is superb.
On some football matches, we found almost 300 different markets to get your teeth into, which compares favourably with their more established rivals, and overall, the odds themselves are in line with most other bookmakers.
And if you like betting on Esports then STSbet has the best selection we’ve seen on any site, with betting on eight different games available when we checked, including League of Legends & Rocket League.
STSbet Promos & Offers
STSbet offers a generous welcome bonus (although beware the wagering restriction), but it’s slim pickings when it comes to decent offers for existing customers, and where are the Odds Boosts?
New Customer Offer Example
- Place an accumulator of at least £10, with at least two selections and minimum odds of 1/2 per selection, to receive bonus funds totalling half your stake.
Ongoing Customer Offer Examples
- Receive a weekly £10 sports bonus by placing a winning multiple bet on Premier League or Championship matches.
- If you bet £2 – £50 on an Acca and get one result wrong, you’ll get 100% of your bet back.
STSbet App & Mobile
This will be a short section, because at the time of writing, STSbet does not have an App for UK-based punters!
STSbet – Our Rating
The STSbet user experience is a pleasant one, with some nice touches across the site and a great range of markets, especially if you’re an Esports fan, but we reckon the bad far outweighs the good.
It feels like they were in too much of a hurry to get a piece of the UK betting market, so they rushed it, with no Odds Boosts, no live streaming and worst of all, no App.
And with a bonus structure that annoys you from the outset and nothing else to make them stand out, there’s very few reasons to give STSbet your time and money, with so many superior bookmakers out there.
Overall, we give STSbet a rating of 2 out of 5.
