About bwin

bwin are well established in the internet betting business, having launched their first online gambling site in 1998.

And their experience is certainly reflected in the quality of of the website and app, along with the range of sports, markets and in-play betting on offer.

bwin Welcome Offer

Sign up for a new bwin account and place a sports bet including three or more selections, and if it’s a loser you’ll get your stake back as a free bet, up to £20.

How to Claim the Welcome Offer at bwin

  1. Click CLAIM on this page and head to the bwin website.
  2. Create a new account and make a deposit of at least £10.
  3. Place a bet of up to £20 on any sport except horse racing.
  4. The bet must include at least three selections, each of which must be no lower than 1/5.
  5. If your bet loses you will be credited with a free bet of up to £20, to be used on football only.
  6. Free bets will need to be placed within seven days of receiving them and the value of the free bet won’t be included in any winnings.

That’s the long and short of it but make sure you read the T&C’s as well for full details.

The bwin User Experience

It’s simple to join bwin, you just need to pick a username and password and then fill in your name and address.

You can then deposit by debit card, Paypal, or a number of other deposit methods.

But don’t forget you can’t add any cash by credit card, even through PayPal.

Both the desktop site and the app look great, and the black and yellow colour scheme is a lot easier on the eye than the reds and greens of some of the other bookmakers!

Finding the sport you want to bet on is also made clear by a user-friendly home screen on both the desktop site and the app.

And there’s even a favourites list so you can save your preferred sports for easy access in the future.

Once you’ve found your market, placing a bet on the desktop site is easy to do, you just need to click on your selection and then your wager will pop up in the betting slip.

On the app, it will show up at the bottom and you can just click on the betslip to open it.

Then you just need to add any more selections, enter your stake and then place the bet!

A nice feature of the bwin desktop site is the media window, which is permanently stationed on the right hand side of the home screen and allows you to check out all the live streaming options currently available, as well as stats from some of the events that are in progress.

We reckon the only downside is that two of bwin’s best features, Build A Bet and Edit Your Bet, aren’t featured prominently on the home page, so it’s easy for punters to miss them.

Checking your open and settled bets, making a withdrawal and looking at your banking history is easily accessed on desktop and mobile by clicking on the head silhouette at the top right of the screen.

And when you do make a withdrawal, you should have the money in the same account you deposited from within two days.

bwin Odds

You won’t find bwin at the top of any best odds comparisons, but they are competitive enough.

And they do offer a best odds guarantee on racing, so if your horse wins at a larger price than the one you backed it at, you’ll get the better return.

bwin Promos & Offers

bwin offer a good sign-up bonus, but it’s not the simplest to get your head around as there are many conditions that need to be met!

New Customer Offer Example

Place a sports bet including three or more selections, and if it’s a loser you’ll get your stake back as a free bet, up to £20.

Ongoing Customer Offer Examples

  • Multiple odds boosts on specific markets every day, across a wide range of sports.
  • Build A Bet feature allows you to combine multiple selections from the same event into a single bet.
  • Daily enhanced football Accas.
  • Edit My Bet feature lets you change your bet after you have placed it.

bwin Sports & Markets

bwin’s range of sports compares very favourably to their bigger-name rivals.

Football – All the big European leagues are present and correct, but you can also bet on football competitions on every continent.

Horse Racing – As well as the UK and Irish action, bwin also covers French, USA and South African racing.

NFL & NBA – Extending the Build A Bet offer to include American Football and Basketball is great news for USA sport fans.

bwin App & Mobile

The bwin app and mobile site are certainly worth your time.

The understated colour scheme really suits the small screen.

And the addition of pictures, just like on the desktop site, is a nice touch.

When you first open the app, all the information you need is right there in front of you, and it’s easy to find live or future events.

bwin – Our Rating

The bwin user experience is first rate and the range of sports, markets and in-play betting is also top drawer.

When it comes to ongoing customer offers, there isn’t much going on except for the odds boosts and best price guarantees you will find on most other sites.

But we reckon the Edit Your Bet and Build A Bet features more than make up for it.

The only issue is that they aren’t well advertised on the site, which means you could miss them completely.

Overall though, it’s a thumbs up from the Odds Manager team and we give bwin a rating of 4 out of 5.
